It was a hot and fun summer but sadly, the warm weather, summer nights, and beach days have come to an end. But don’t fret, the season of cooler days and leaves falling is here – Autumn. Now is the time to review the  Fall and Winter trends predicted on the runways from New York Fashion Week: Men’s. There is nothing like a man with style so we’ve compiled the top trends for men to look forward to.

The first trend that was seen on the runways was Tartan. With its checkered pattern, tartan is an old classic look. Think private school style with a fun surprise. You can expect to see this trend worn in more than one way; from pants to scarves to trench coats there are a variety of ways to wear this print. Designers, Lou Dalton, Bottega Veneta, and Valentino all showcased this design. Shown in neutral colors such as mustards, dark blues, and reds this trend is definitely something you can expect to see this fall. With this bold look, all you will need is minimal accessories like a watch and neutral-colored shoes.

Another trend that dominated the runways are the military-themed looks that some of the top designers created for the season. Our absolute favorite look came from Burberry, a red-trimmed and a dark seaweed greatcoat. It is simple and chic, our favorite style. Of course, major fashion house, Balmain had endless military garb. Head designer, Olivier Rousteing did create the “Balmain army” so you can only imagine his collection. His inspiration for this collection was the 19th century. Coach 1941 and Alexander Mcqueen were the other designers heavily influenced by the military look.

Designers, Haider Ackermann, Todd Snyder, and Dries Van Noten demonstrated the trend that we hope to see most this fall –velvet. We are so in love with this fabric and can’t wait to see it indulged in! Pants, full suits, and jackets are some of the ways you can expect to see this trend worn.

Shearling and Puffer coats and Bomber jackets are the warmest yet coolest looks to add to your wardrobe this fall and winter. Designers Fendi, Robert Geller, Rag & Bone displayed these casual yet stylish looks in their collections. What’s trending about these classic styles are the creative ways to wear them. Specifically the Puffer coat; Burberry, John Elliott, Ami and Astrid Andersen are just a few of the designers that made us want to listen some classic hip hop of the 90’s.
