The Fashion Collective is an online community for creatives to share their fashion stories and inspire fashion insiders. We are a platform for the up-and-coming to present their talent to the tastemakers of the fashion industry. Our mission is to connect creatives, entrepreneurs and artists, through fashion, while fostering a community of collaboration and inspiration. The Fashion Collective provides a space of support for fashion creatives.

Our blog features the most innovative designers, tastemakers, storytellers, and cultural pioneers across the globe. From interviews with emerging and recognized talents  to curated visual stories and editorials, The Fashion Collective is dedicated to celebrating creatives of the fashion industry.

OUR STORY

Saidat Abiodun

Growing up in the nexus of trendsetters, New York City, Saidat Abiodun has long been driven by her love for fashion and her vision to engage the industry’s rising talents. As proof of her passion, she founded The Fashion Collective in 2015. Combining her extensive professional experience with her own personal flair, her brand adds a unique and stylish twist to reaching the industry’s creatives.

The Fashion Collective was first introduced as a dinner series. Dedicated to capturing the unique vision of featured designers and stylists, the savvy event also incorporated high fashion, french cuisine and art. In 2016, Saidat decided to expand The Fashion Collective brand to promote and nurture emerging talent through a digital platform.

Saidat acquired her certification in Fashion Event Planning from the Fashion Institute of Technology, and her portfolio boasts impressive work. She has assisted in the roll-out of strategic and targeted PR for a host of top designers, including: Zac Posen, Zana Bayne, Lacoste, DKNY, Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony, Rebecca Minkoff, Alexander Wang, DKNY, DVF, Proenza, Nanette Lepore, Carolina Herrera, Wes Gordon and many more. She is an alumna of Binghamton University, where she holds a degree in accounting.
